This objective community paramedicine self-assessment tool (PDF) an be used by communities that wish to assess the current status of their paramedicine program. The assessment tool also provides a common framework by which data can be collected from multiple community paramedicine programs and aggregated to develop a snapshot of common successes and challenges.
There are three core functions of public health: assessment, policy development, and assurance. There are ten essential services of public health that fall within the three core functions. These core functions and essential services are supported by research and infrastructure elements. Figure 1 illustrates the three core functions and ten essential services of public health.
