What’s a grant? 

A grant is federal money for ideas and projects that benefit the public. 

Who can get a grant?

We award grants to organizations. These could be local or state governments. Our grants help them solve critical needs in their community.

What needs are critical?

Who can apply: You can apply if your organization: • Provides, or supports the provision of, health care services in rural areas, frontier areas, health professional shortage areas, or medically underserved areas, or to medically underserved populations or Native Americans, including Indian Tribes, Tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations, and • Is in the United States or is in Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau, and • Is a public or private, non-profit or for-profit entity, a domestic community-based or faith-based organization, or Tribal (governments, organizations including urban Indian organizations).

National Organizations of State and Local Officials (NOSLO): State Health Services and Financing

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include domestic public or private, non-profit, or for-profit entities, including community-based organizations, tribal governments, and tribal organizations. You can apply if your organization is in the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau and is: • Public or private, non-profit • Community-based • Native American tribal governments 12 • Include any proof of applicant status that you’ll require. For example, proof of non-profit status, in Section IV.2. with a cross-reference to this section, if it applies. Ensure that proof of applicant status is broad enough to include tribal governments’ and tribal organizations’ documentation. Note: Current NOSLO award recipients are not eligible to apply as the primary recipient for NOSLO State Health Services and Financing Funding.

Licensure Portability Grant Program

Who can apply: Competing Continuation Applicants: Entities that are currently funded under HRSA-19-019 are eligible to apply as competing continuation applicants. New Applicants: Eligible applicants are state professional licensing boards including but not limited to organizations that are in consortia with or associations of state licensing boards that cooperate to develop and implement state policies that will reduce statutory and regulatory barriers to telehealth.

Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) Evidence Based Telehealth Network Program (EB-TNP)
