Type 7: Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Training Program

Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Technical Assistance Center (HPSWRTAC)

Who can apply: Eligible applicants for the HPSWRTAC are: Health professions schools, academic health centers, state or local governments, Indian Tribes and tribal organizations, or other appropriate public or private nonprofit entities (or consortia of entities, including entities promoting multidisciplinary approaches). Entities providing health care, including health care providers associations and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Individuals are not eligible to apply under this NOFO. Applicants that are institutions of higher education, health professions schools, and academic health centers must be accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body. These applicants must submit their accreditation documentation as Attachment 4. Failure to attach a copy of the required accreditation documentation as Attachment 4 will be considered non-responsive, and applications will not be considered for funding under this announcement. Applicants are required to maintain their accreditation throughout the period of performance and notify HRSA of any change in status. Eligible entities must be located in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, America Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau.

Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) Program

Who can apply: An eligible entity is a community-based ambulatory patient care center that: i. Operates an accredited primary care residency program. Specific examples of eligible outpatient settings include, but are not limited to: • Federally qualified health centers, as defined in section 1905(l)(2)(B) of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 1396d(l)(2)(B)]; • Community mental health centers, as defined in section 1861(ff)(3)(B) of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 1395x(ff)(3)(B)]; • Rural health clinics, as defined in section 1861(aa)(2) of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 1395x(aa)(2)]; • Health centers operated by the Indian Health service, an Indian tribe or tribal organization, or an urban Indian organization (as defined in section 4 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act [25 U.S.C. 1603]); and • A community-based entity receiving funds under Title X of the PHS Act.

Who can apply: An eligible entity is a community-based ambulatory patient care center that: i. Will operate an accredited primary care residency program. Specific examples of eligible outpatient settings include, but are not limited to: ? The list of entities above is not exhaustive, but does reflect the intent of the program to provide training in community-based settings such as those served by the institutions listed. OR ii. Has collaborated to form a community-based GME consortium that will operate an accredited primary care residency program. In order to satisfy accreditation, academic and administrative responsibilities, a community-based ambulatory patient care center may form a GME consortium with stakeholders (e.g., academic health centers, universities and/or medical schools) where the GME consortium will serve as the institutional sponsor of an accredited primary care residency program. The relationship between the community-based ambulatory patient care center and the consortium must be legally binding, and the agreement establishing the relationship must describe the roles and responsibilities of each entity. Within the consortium, the community-based ambulatory care center is expected to play an integral role in the academic, financial and administrative operations of the residency. THCPD payments must be used to support residency planning and development activities at the ambulatory training site.

Teaching Health Center Planning and Development --Technical Assistance

Who can apply: Eligible applicants are domestic public or private, non-profit entities, including faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, institutions of higher education, state and local governments, and hospitals that are capable of providing technical assistance, including area health education programs. Entities must have the capability to be national in scope (i.e., much broader than a local, multi-state, or regional focus). HRSA strongly encourages the applicant organization to have partnerships and/or establish and sustain a consortium to fulfill the full range of activities outlined in this notice. Partner examples include, but are not limited to training sites and/or other entities affiliated with community-based residencies, including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine-pediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and geriatrics department chairs and medical and dental school deans; State Offices of Rural Health; Area Health Education Centers; Medical, Dental, and Professional Associations involved in residency training such as ACGME and CODA; Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) award recipients; national health center associations; and national rural associations. Recipients of the THCPD Program (HRSA-22-107) are not eligible to receive funding under this notice. Similarly, the THCPD-TA award recipient will not be eligible for funding under the THCPD Program.

LDS - Pharmacy

Children’s Hospitals Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) Payment Program

Who can apply: There are two categories of children’s hospitals that may be eligible for CHGME payments in FY 2022, depending on the funding appropriated to the program – “Currently Eligible Hospitals” and “Newly Qualified Hospitals.” Hospitals that are applying for the first time for the CHGME Payment Program may be hospitals that are new to the CHGME Payment Program but qualify under the “Currently Eligible Hospitals” requirements or are eligible as a “Newly Qualified Hospital.”
