Health Care Centers
Anyone may use a community health care center, whether you have health insurance or not. How much you pay is based on a sliding scale at each facility. To find out more, contact your local community health care center.
Hill-Burton Reduced-Cost Care at Hospitals and Other Facilities
Some hospitals and other health care facilities provide reduced-cost or free healthcare under the Hill-Burton program. The amount of available funding is limited at any given facility, but you are eligible to apply for Hill-Burton free care if your income is at or below the current HHS Poverty Guidelines. You may be eligible for Hill-Burton reduced-cost care if your income is as much as two times (triple for nursing home care) the HHS Poverty Guidelines.
