Will there be any future distributions made from the PRF?
No. The Fiscal Responsibility Act rescinded unobligated funds from the Provider Relief Fund, the American Rescue Plan Rural distribution, and the COVID-19 Uninsured Program, with the exception of limited funds that Congress specifically directed be used for program administration and oversight. With the passage of the Fiscal Responsibility Act and related rescission of program funds, no further payments will be made to providers, including no reconsideration payments and no additional claims payments under the Uninsured Program.

After the enactment of the Fiscal Responsibility Act and the related rescission of program funds, no further payments will be made through the Uninsured Program, meaning no unpaid Uninsured Program claims will be reimbursed. For providers who had previously paid claims included in their assessment, assessments will continue to apply to paid claims.
Does the rescission of Provider Relief Fund resources mean providers no longer need to report on PRF funding they received?
No, per the Terms and Conditions of each Program, reporting and other auditing requirements for any previous payments will continue without disruption. Providers should continue to fulfill their reporting requirements via the PRF Reporting Portal. Some are also required to complete an independent single audit of their federal funding and providers are also subject to HRSA-initiated audits and assessments.
For providers who were previously reimbursed for claims, does the enactment of the Fiscal Responsibility Act mean that they don’t need to adhere to program compliance requirements any longer?
No, per the Terms and Conditions of each Program, any reporting, auditing and assessment, or other compliance requirements for any previous payments will continue without disruption.
