On September 17, 2024, HRSA announced nearly $100 million in awards to grow, support, and strengthen the health workforce and improve access to quality care in high-need areas across the country. The announcement includes the following HRSA investments:
Bureau of Health Workforce
FY24 Medical Student Education Awards: Over $11 million to three grantees
FY24 Opioid-Impacted Family Support Program (OIFSP) Awards: Over $63 million across four years to 32 grantees. Over $15 million in 2024.
FY24 Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Workforce Expansion Program (WEP) Awards: Over $19 million to five grantees
Maternal and Child Health Bureau:
Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program (PMHCA): Over $4 million to 27 grantees
