Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program: Base and Matching Grant Awards

Who can apply: Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa. Nonprofit organizations that received MIECHV Program – Base Grant Award funding in FY 2023 are also eligible to apply in FY 2024, so long as the state, territory, or jurisdiction does not apply or is not approved to receive award funding for FY 2024 under this NOFO. Native American tribes, including tribal governments and tribal organizations, may be eligible to apply for Tribal MIECHV award opportunities administered by ACF in partnership with HRSA. Reauthorization of the MIECHV Program under Section 6101 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (P.L. 117-328) increased reservations for tribal entities from 3% to 6% of appropriations. Who can apply: You can apply if your organization is in the United States, territory, or compact of free association and is: • Accredited by a professional organization in the field of poison control and complying with the operational requirements needed to sustain accreditation; • Accredited by a state government that has standards for accreditation that reasonably provide for the protection of the public health with respect to poisoning; or • Granted a waiver by the Secretary if the center can reasonably demonstrate that the center will obtain such an accreditation within a reasonable time, as determined appropriate by the Secretary. The only professional organization currently approved to provide accreditation is America’s Poison Centers (the Association). Unaccredited poison control centers (PCCs) are eligible for a grant waiver if they can demonstrate that they will obtain accreditation within a reasonable time, not to exceed 5 years. Native American tribal governments are eligible. Native American tribal organizations are eligible.
