It funds ideas and projects that serve the public. We give grants to educational and community groups. This helps them solve a need in their area.
Who we help
Our programs help children and parents. We also help people with low incomes and HIV, and people who are pregnant, live in rural areas, or received a transplant.
And we support the health care professionals and health centers who care for them.
Bridging the Word Gap Research Network (BWG)
Who can apply:
Eligibility is limited to domestic public or non-profit institutions of higher learning and public or private non-profit agencies engaged in research or in programs relating to maternal and child health and/or services for children with special health care needs (42 CFR § 51a.3(b)). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
Autism Field-Initiated Innovative Research Studies Program (Autism-FIRST)
Who can apply:
Eligible applicants include any domestic public or private entity, including research centers or networks. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
Emerging Issues in Maternal and Child Health
Who can apply:
Any domestic public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. § 450b) is eligible to apply. For your reference, see 42 CFR § 51a.3(a).
Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations are also eligible to apply. For your reference, see 45 CFR part 87.
Vision Screening in Young Children Program
Who can apply:
