Who can apply:

Eligible entities include accredited public or nonprofit private hospitals, schools of allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine, or a public or private non-profit entity, including community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations, which the Secretary has determined is capable of carrying out a residency training program in family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics or combined internal medicine and pediatrics (“med-peds”), which for the purposes of this NOFO are programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Accreditation documentation must be submitted as Attachment 1.

Who can apply: You must be a domestic public or private, nonprofit entity, as demonstrated through the submission of the Evidence of Non-profit/Public Center Status (Attachment 11), outlined in Section IV.2.vi.10 Faith-based and community-based organizations, Tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include states that are current SHIP recipients, as well as states and territories with hospitals that meet eligibility requirements that have not been previously funded. The SORH will be the official award recipient acting as fiscal intermediary for all eligible hospitals within its state. Each SORH submits an application to HRSA on behalf of the eligible hospital applicants in its state. The SORH receives the federal funds, verifies hospital eligibility utilizing the Rural Health Grants Analyzer (https://data.hrsa.gov/tools/rural-health), makes awards to eligible hospitals, and ensures appropriate use of funds. At the end of the budget period, each SORH submits a financial report documenting reporting expenditure activity to HRSA. Eligible small rural hospitals are non-federal, short-term general acute care facilities that are located in a rural area of the U.S. and the territories, including faith-based hospitals. For the purpose of this program: 1) “eligible small rural hospital” is defined as a non-federal, short-term general acute care hospital that: (i) is located in a rural area as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1395ww(d) and (ii) has 49 available beds or fewer, as reported on the hospital’s most recently filed Medicare Cost Report; 2) “rural area” is defined as either: (1) located outside of a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA); (2) located within a rural census tract of a MSA, as determined under the Goldsmith Modification or the Rural Urban Commuting Areas (RUCAs) or (3) is being treated as if being located in a rural area pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1395(d)(8)(E); and, 3) Eligible small rural hospitals may be for-profit or not-for-profit, including faith-based. Hospitals in U.S. territories as well as tribally operated hospitals under Titles I and V of P.L. 93-638 are eligible to the extent that such hospitals meet the above criteria. Eligible hospitals within the territories that do not have access to a SORH must apply to the SHIP program individually and should contact the SHIP Program Coordinator. Who can apply: The EMSC SP Program, authorized by the Public Health Service Act, Title XIX, 1910 (42 U.S.C. 300w-9), allocates funds through competitive grants to state governments and accredited schools of medicine in States. One HRSA EMSC SP award will be made per state/jurisdiction applicant. Should HRSA receive more than one eligible application from a specific state/jurisdiction, the higher-scoring applicant will be funded.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants per Section 753(b)(2) provides that eligible entities are those described in paragraph (1), (3), or (4) of section 799B or section 801(2) or “another accredited health professions school or graduate program approved by the Secretary.” The legislative authority includes the following: • accredited health professions schools or graduate programs approved by the Secretary including schools of allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health, physician assistant programs, chiropractic, podiatric medicine, optometry, public health, and veterinary medicine. • accredited graduate programs in health administration and behavioral health and mental health practice including clinical psychology, clinical social work, professional counseling, and marriage and family therapy • Tribes and tribal organizations are eligible if they otherwise meet the eligibility requirements.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include domestic public or private, non-profit or for-profit organizations. Institutions of higher education, faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.

Who can apply: An eligible entity is a community-based ambulatory patient care center that: i. Operates an accredited primary care residency program. Specific examples of eligible outpatient settings include, but are not limited to: • Federally qualified health centers, as defined in section 1905(l)(2)(B) of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 1396d(l)(2)(B)]; • Community mental health centers, as defined in section 1861(ff)(3)(B) of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 1395x(ff)(3)(B)]; • Rural health clinics, as defined in section 1861(aa)(2) of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 1395x(aa)(2)]; • Health centers operated by the Indian Health service, an Indian tribe or tribal organization, or an urban Indian organization (as defined in section 4 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act [25 U.S.C. 1603]); and • A community-based entity receiving funds under Title X of the PHS Act. The list of entities above is not exhaustive, but does reflect the intent of the program to provide training in settings such as those served by the institutions listed.

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include domestic public or private, non-profit, or for-profit entities. Faith-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply for NTTAP funding. New organizations and organizations currently receiving funding as an NTTAP under Section 330(l) may submit applications.

Who can apply: Any domestic public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. § 5304 (formerly cited as 25 U.S.C. § 450b)), is eligible to apply. See 42 CFR § 51a.3(a). Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations are eligible to apply. Previous recipients are eligible to apply for this notice of funding opportunity, if they propose a new initiative or an initiative that builds upon, expands, or enhances an existing HTPCP project.

Who can apply: All 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands are eligible to apply for funding if they meet the following requirements: Eligible applicants are limited to RWHAP Part B states/territories that need additional funding: • to reduce or eliminate an existing ADAP waiting list, • to actively prevent the implementation of an ADAP waiting list, • to address a projected increase in treatment needs aligned with ending the HIV epidemic in the U.S., and/or • to address other unanticipated increases in the number of clients in the program due to new diagnosis, re-engagement in care, loss of income, and/or loss of health care coverage. States/territories that do not currently meet one or more of the above criteria are not eligible to apply.
