Recertification

340B covered entities must annually recertify their eligibility to stay in the 340B Program and to continue purchasing covered outpatient drugs at discounted 340B prices. If a 340B covered entity fails to recertify during the scheduled time frame for recertification, they will be terminated from the 340B Program.

We email the Primary Contact (PC) and Authorizing Official (AO) information about the recertification process.

Once the recertification period begins, the AO only has access to complete recertification tasks within their 340B user account. The PC and AO must log into 340B OPAIS to update information for accuracy. The AO must verify the covered entity’s compliance with all 340B Program requirements and submit to us.

The covered entity must make sure all contact information listed in the 340B OPAIS is accurate for receiving recertification notifications.

To set up user accounts, covered entities can choose “I am a Participant” in 340B OPAIS.
